virtFlow: Guest Independent Execution Flow Analysis Across Virtualized Environments
Abstract
N agent-less technique to understand the behavior of virtual machines (VMs) and their changes during the VM life cycle is essential for many performance analysis and debugging tasks in the cloud environment. The method preferably limits its data collection to the physical host level without internal access to the VMs due to privacy and security issues, ease of deployment and overhead execution. virtFlow: Guest Independent Execution Flow Analysis Across Virtualized Environments We propose a host-based, accurate method to recover virtualized environment execution flow, regardless of the level of virtualization.
Introduction
virtFlow: Guest Independent Execution Flow Analysis Across Virtualized Environments The growing interest in virtualization is driving businesses as well as individuals to make short-term investments with huge amounts of money on the adoption of the technology itself, in an effort to make long-term cost savings. Basically, virtualization refers to the abstraction between hardware resources and software running on a system, making it possible to run multiple operating systems on one physical machine, each completely separated from the other.
