Abstract of IoT Project on Tourist Attractions Beacons System

IoT Project on Tourist Attractions Beacons System.Find points of interest and/or receive maps and info when walking into a museum, Use beacons to broadcast useful information about the venue or future events that will take place, On beaches show weather info and a map with important locations for tourists near the beach: lifeguard, police, doctor, drug store.can share the history of that particular place or monuments.

In this Tourist Attractions Beacons System study, we propose a system that provides tourist information. and obtains trends of visiting tourists using beacons and cloud service.As part of our research. we are working on the promotion of local area tourism in cooperation with a local community. In addition, we discuss an open platform for information collection services using beacons.

Conclusion

In this research, we proposed a  Tourist Attractions-Beacons system. The prototype system was developed for Ainoshima Island, Shingu, Japan. The developed system worked well in the field test and tourists’ paths were identified.To use our system in practice, it would be necessary to increase the participation of local communities and extend the supported area. An open platform for information collection services using beacons is one potential solution for this purpose.
