Privacy Preservation for Outsourced Medical Data with Flexible Access Control

Abstract

In health care networks, electronic medical records (EMRs) play an important role. Since these records always contain considerable sensitive patient information, preserving the privacy of the EMR system is critical.Free Project on Privacy Preservation for Outsourced Medical Data With Flexible Access Control Current schemes usually authorize a user to read their own EMR if and only if their role fulfills the defined access policy. These existing schemes, however, allow an adversary to link the identities of patients with their doctors.

Introduction

Privacy Preservation for Outsourced Medical Data With Flexible Access Control In healthcare networks, electronic medical records (EMRs) are currently very prominent. They enable users to share their health data in a flexible and convenient manner. For example, to find one’s diagnostic report, a patient or his / her doctor only needs to retrieve the information from a database instead of having to search through numerous physical documents.

Health data is very sensitive and the secure storage and access of EMRs in modern EMR systems is a major challenge. As most EMRs are outsourced to the cloud, they are easily exposed to potential threats and vulnerable to leakage, loss, and theft.
