Abstract

People endorse the great power of cloud computing, but due to the absence of user-to-cloud controllability, they can not fully trust cloud providers to host data that is sensitive to privacy. Data owners outsource encrypted data instead of plaintexts to ensure confidentiality. Combining Data Owner-side and Cloud-side Access Control for Encrypted Cloud Storage Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-based Encryption (CP-ABE) can be used to share the encrypted files with other users to perform fine-grained and owner-centric access control. But against other attacks this does not become sufficiently secure. Many previous schemes did not give the cloud provider the ability to verify whether a downloader can decrypt.

Introduction

Combining Data Owner – Side and Cloud – Side Access Control for Encrypted Cloud Storage has many benefits, like always-online, pay-as-you-go, and cheap. During these years, more data, including personal and business documents, will be outsourced to the public cloud for persistent storage. Many storage systems use server-dominated access control, such as password and certificate-based authentication. To protect their sensitive data, they overly trust the cloud provider.

Conclusion

In this paper, we propose a combined cloud-side and data owner-side access control in encrypted cloud storage that is resistant to DDoS / EDoS attacks and provides accounting for resource consumption. Our system supports arbitrary construction of CP-ABE. Building is safe against malicious users of data and a cloud provider covert. We relax the cloud provider’s security requirement to cover up adversaries, which with semi-honest adversaries is a more practical and relaxed notion.
