Practical Privacy-Preserving Content-Based Retrieval in Cloud Image Repositories
Abstract
In recent years, storage requirements for visual data have increased following the emergence of many highly interactive multimedia services and applications for mobile devices in personal and corporate scenarios. This Practical Privacy-Preserving Content-Based Retrieval in Cloud Image Repositories has been a key driving factor for cloud-based data outsourcing solutions. However, outsourcing data storage to the cloud also leads to new security challenges that need to be addressed carefully, especially in terms of privacy.
In this Practical Privacy-Preserving Content-Based Retrieval in Cloud Image Repositories paper, we propose a secure framework for outsourced storage and retrieval of privacy in large shared image repositories. Our proposal is based on IES-CBIR, a novel Image Encryption Scheme exhibiting content-based image retrieval properties.

Conclusion
In this paper, we have proposed a new secure framework for the privacy-conservation of outsourced storage, search and retrieval of large-scale, dynamically updated image repositories, where a central aspect is the reduction of overhead client. Based on our framework is a novel cryptographic scheme, specifically designed for images, named IES-CBIR.
