KSF-OABE: Outsourced Attribute-Based Encryption with Keyword Search Function for Cloud Storage

Abstract

Cloud computing is becoming more popular for database owners to transfer their data to public cloud servers and enable intended data users to get the data stored in the cloud. This KSF-OABE: Outsourced Attribute-Based Encryption with Keyword Search Function for Cloud Storage type of computing model poses challenges to the security and privacy of data stored in the cloud.

KSF-OABE: Outsourced Attribute-Based Encryption with Keyword Search Function for Cloud Storage with a fine-grained access control system can significantly reduce computation costs for users who want to access encrypted data stored in the cloud by outsourcing heavy computing to cloud service provider (CSP). However, as the amount of encrypted files stored in the cloud is becoming very large, which will hinder the efficient processing of queries.

Advantages

  • The proposed scheme is efficient since we only need to download the partial decryption ciphertext corresponding to a specific keyword.
  • The proposed scheme supports the function of keywords search which can greatly improve communication efficiency and further protect the security and privacy of users.
